Ever since we bought the Xterra, starting it up lead to a brutal blast of nicotine filled air from the A/C vents. I'm not sure how Emily put up with it this long, the few times I've been in the car, I found it to be overwhelming. Of course the smell went away after a few seconds, but nonetheless it needed to be fixed. So I ordered a new cabin filter and installed it today. Fresh air here we come.
As you can see, the old one was quite nasty. I'd be willing to bet money that this was the first time this has ever been swapped out.
